The pictures show the progress of the repair work. Missing the appropriate tool to compress the compensation spring, improvisation was required. The spring was compressed by means of the original rests and a threaded bolt (plus the necessary padding) to the extent that the right hand support could be bolted to the axle. This "special tool" was removed only after re-fitting the complete axle to the chassis. The last picture is documenting all the parts that have been replaced (rubber elements, bearings, seals, rubber stops, fixation band etc.)
